Whānau groups

At Dyer Street School all students and staff belong to a Whānau Group.  Families members are generally placed in the same Whānau group.

Throughout the year, students have a variety of opportuntiies to earn points for their Whānau through sports and other school activities and for displaying positive behaviour in the classroom.

Our Whānau names are four native birds.  Each year we elect leaders from our Year 6 group and they have some responsibilities for leading events and organising assemblies.

Our Whānau Groups are:
Huia
Ruru
Kea
Kereru
